Mahakumbh concluded on Wednesday with Mahashivratri bathing festival but facilities will remain in Sangam and surrounding areas. There is a possibility of a large number of bathers coming in future too. In view of this possibility, it has been decided to keep the necessary facilities.
Now devotees have started coming throughout the year for Sangam bath. In view of this, facilities like electricity, toilets etc. have been maintained in the Sangam area at other times except during flood days. After Mahakumbh 2025, the color of Sangam area has become more bright on the map of world tourism.
There was a continuous crowd of bathers in Mahakumbh. This trend is expected to continue in future as well. A large number of devotees are waiting for the crowd to reduce. Officials say that they are now preparing for Sangam bath. Apart from this, Prayagraj has also been included in the circuit of religious cities Kashi and Ayodhya. Keeping this in mind, tour packages are also being planned by travel agencies.
In such a situation, there is a possibility of crowd at Sangam in the coming days. In view of the possibility of this crowd of devotees and tourists, the district administration and the fair authority have decided to keep the essential services intact. Under this, checkered plates will be laid at Sangam and surrounding areas, parade etc. Facilities like electricity, toilets, drinking water etc. will remain intact.
Shops will also be there at Kila Ghat and other major places. So that, apart from food and drinks, other essential items can be found. Security personnel will also be deployed as per the need. There will also be parking arrangements near Sangam. If the number of vehicles increases, vehicles will also be parked in the parade. Apart from these, other essential facilities will also remain intact.
The fair area will be empty in a week
With the end of Maha Kumbh, temporary constructions have also started being removed from the fair area. Most of the camps in Jhunsi and Nagvasuki zone have been demolished or are being removed. The work of removing major pandals and camps will also start from Thursday. In the same sequence, camps and other temporary constructions are being removed in Sangam, Parade and Arail areas. Officials say that most of the temporary constructions will be removed in a week and the fair area will be clean.

The Chief Minister will be in Mahakumbh Nagar on Thursday. He will formally announce the closing of the Mahakumbh event. Along with this, he will honor the sanitation and police personnel and people of other sections in different events. His program of a collective feast with the police personnel is also proposed.
The closing ceremony of the Mahakumbh event will be organized in Ganga Pandal. On this occasion, the Chief Minister will honor the sanitation workers, boatmen, Ganga messengers etc. Apart from this, he will honor the security personnel in the police line located in the fair area. In different programs, the Chief Minister will also honor the officers and other people serving in the Maha Kumbh. The Chief Minister will also participate in the program organized in Netra Kumbh.
Fourth record will be made on Thursday in Maha Kumbh
The fourth world record will be made on Thursday under Maha Kumbh. By operating 700 shuttle buses simultaneously, the fair administration will break its own record made six years ago. Three world records have already been made in Maha Kumbh. Certificates will be given by the Guinness Book of World Records in the program to be held at Ganga Pandal on Thursday in the presence of the Chief Minister.
The fair administration has planned to make four world records in Maha Kumbh-2025. In this, records of river cleanliness with more than 300 employees, cleanliness with 15 thousand sanitation workers and 10 thousand hand printing have already been made. Out of these, the record of river cleanliness has been made for the first time. The fair administration had set a record of cleanliness by running a campaign with 10 thousand sanitation workers in Kumbh 2019. Apart from this, a record of 7660 hand printing was made. In this way, the fair administration has broken both its own records this time. Now the fourth record will be made on Thursday.
A record of operating 500 buses simultaneously was made in Kumbh 2019. Now the fair administration will set a record of operating 700 buses simultaneously. Fair officer Vijay Kiran Anand said that buses will be operated between Soraon and Nawabganj in the morning. During this, the team of Guinness Book of World Records will also be present.
